    As Product Engineer I, you will facilitate cost reduction activities, support compliance efforts, and provide CAD modeling assistance while collaborating with internal teams and external customers.

    Job Description

    We are looking for a **Product Engineer I** **.** This position will be a **full-time** and **onsite contract role in Mansfield, OH.**

     

    This position requires access to information which is subject to stringent controls under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Applicants must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, person granted asylee status in the U.S., or person admitted into the U.S. as a refugee.

    What** **You’ll** **Do

    + Facilitate cost reduction activities on new and existing products

    + Participate in and/or lead Design and Process failure mode and effects analysis (DFMEA / PFMEA)

    + Provide support to both internal Manufacturing, Quality, Product/Project Managers, and external customers

    + Review of existing designs for continuity to latest standards

    + Work in accordance with company and departmental policies and procedures

    + Generate, submit, and track Product Change Notifications (PCN’s) and customer required specific forms

    + CAD modeling/drafting support using CREO modeling software and AutoCad

    + Assist in initiating JCAPP compliance using client directed software

    + Generate Interim Change Management forms for team review

    + Potential of aiding in writing technical documents by direction of an engineer

    + Usage of MRP SAP system to enter Bill of Material's (BOMs)

    + Generation of part numbers in CPR

    + Generate engineering bills of materials using PDMLink for legacy and new components

    + Be flexible, open and willing to learn new subjects provided by engineering team

     

    What You'll Need

    Required

    + Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field

    + 0-2 years of experience working as a technical administrator in an industrial operation including electrical and mechanical, with demonstrated success in sustaining efforts

    + Experience with MS products (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access, Outlook)

    + Adobe Acrobat experience

    + Knowledge of CREO, PDMLINK, and / or other CAD tools are required

    + The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and within a team-based environment

    + The ideal Product Engineer candidate should be a fast learner and have a technical background with good communication skills

    Preferred

    + Background knowledge of MRP SAP system, database & data management software is a plus

    Physical Demands

    + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards

    + Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

    + Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor

     

    The pay range for this position is $37.00- $42.00 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will include medical coverage as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.
