If you want to work making positive changes in the community the Montana Department of Corrections is the place for you! *JOB OVERVIEW*-This position will provide top-level financial management decisions affecting the health of the organization in support of its strategic goals. * Direct and manage the overall integration of financial activities for a variety of operations, projects, and programs at an organization. * Authorize, determine, and manage the overall direction for strategic initiatives involving financial authorization. * Propose, plan, and present organizational budgets, financial impacts, and reports to legislators, outside entities, and stakeholders. * Responsible for top-level agency decisions involving financing during emergencies and resulting in long-term budget adjustments. * Determine, analyze, and authorize significant finances for projects on behalf of the organization involving external entities such as the federal government, counties, tribal and local governments, contracting firms, and others. * Develop and maintain relationships with other executive and outside personnel to facilitate financial activities. * Authorize and direct implementation of new or revised financial policies, standards, and procedures to comply with new or revised state and federal financial statutes and requirements.
