Job Overview:

The Interventional Radiology Scheduler Coordinator is responsible for the scheduling and coordination of procedural related appointments within all the Interventional Radiology. The position includes scheduling cases, answering and triaging telephone calls, collecting and communicating patient demographics/insurance information to the appropriate individual. The position also includes clerical responsibilities.

Qualifications:

Required:

+ High school Diploma required

+ Minimum of 1 year scheduling patients at a surgical center

Preferred:

+ 1 plus year working in a healthcare setting preferred

+ Familiar with medical terminology/knowledge of electronic medical records

Scheduling Requirements:

+ Day Shift, 8am-4:30pm

+ Full-Time

Essential Functions:

+ Scheduling/coordination of the appropriate procedural visit dependent on the service and entering needed information in the appropriate systems

+ Scheduling includes but is not limited to collecting correct patient information demographics, insurance, prescription, H & P, etc, and appropriate case data

+ Moving and cancelling visit based on physician and/or patient availability

+ Chart preparation including but not limited to pulling appropriate case/chart information, reviewing chart data, running reports, retrieve appropriate data from ancillary departments and/or physician offices

+ Answering coordination of phone calls

+ Assists patients, physicians, department staff and other hospital staff with questions or problems
