About this Role

Mercer Technical Services (MTS), a Quanta Services company, is seeking an experiencedLogistics Coordinator to join our team inSpring, TX(The Woodlands area).

This role is ideal for someone with a background in trucking or transportation dispatch who is looking to leverage their experience in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment.

What You'll Do

+ Coordinate logistics operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.

+ Communicate effectively with truck drivers, carriers, and customers to ensure smooth execution of transportation plans.

+ Negotiate rates with carriers and service providers to achieve optimal cost and efficiency.

+ Generate and manage shipping documentation and coordinate all aspects of the shipping process.

+ Track shipments from origin to destination, providing updates to stakeholders and resolving any issues that arise.

+ Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements.

+ Provide exceptional customer service, addressing inquiries and resolving any operational issues promptly.

What You'll Bring

+ Experience in logistics, transportation, or a related field, with specific experience as a dispatcher, is preferred.

+ Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

+ Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

+ Proficiency in using logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Ability to negotiate effectively and build relationships with carriers and customers.

+ A proactive problem-solver with a keen attention to detail.

+ A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field is a plus.
