Applications Specialist - Patient Access Services
_We’re looking for a highly motivated, high energy and qualified Applications Specialist to join our Texas Health family_** **_._
Position Highlights
+ Work location: Texas Health Southwest 6100 Harris Parkway Fort Worth, TX 76132
+ Work hours: Full Time, 40 hours, Days; Monday-Friday; weekends and overnight rotations as well as periodic travel to Texas Health Cleburne and Texas Health Stephenville will be required.
Department Highlights:
• The Applications Specialist is a key member of the Patient Access Services team including ER, Outpatient and Scheduling.
• Orientation and training and remediation of PAS team on mulitple campus.
• Provides support to staff and PAS leadership to meet KPI goals and target.
• Team-oriented work environment with expanded resources from other Patient Access areas.
• Implementation of new and existing projects.
• Supports and performs quality measures to meet Rev Cycle, PAS and regulatory objectives
Here’s What You Need:
• **Education**
+ H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
+ Other Healthcare or related field 2 years college coursework preferred
• **Experience**
+ 3 Years Experience in Insurance verification, Hospital Admitting, or Business Office required.
+ Previous technical support, training, and beta testing experience preferred.
• **Licenses and Certifications**
+ CHAA - Certified Healthcare Access Associate Upon Hire
+ CHAM - Certified Healthcare Access Manager Upon Hire
Skills and Abilities:
• Analytical and administrative skills necessary to accurately compile statistics, write Ad hoc reports, maintain logs, and input data into various computer programs.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse user groups.
• Planning and project management skills.
• PC proficient with knowledge of software including all Microsoft applications.
• Strong interpersonal communication, documentation, and customer service skills required.
