    The **Sr. Advanced Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer** will conceptualize, design and develop products and systems as part of a highly engaged and integrated engineering team. You will be the key technical focal point across Honeywell UOP engineering teams creating solutions and systems that meet the evolving needs of our customers. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, you will influence electrical design directions and methodology developments. As a electrical engineering technical expert, you will leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and coach for other engineers.

    The annual base salary range for this position is $118,000-$148,000. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations

     

    The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Oversee all electrical engineering tasks throughout project lifecycles, from initial concept to implementation. This includes generating equipment requisitions, conducting comprehensive technical bid evaluation, review detail design documents/drawings, and inspection.

    • Serve as the primary point of contact between Honeywell UOP, suppliers, and customers. Ensure that electrical equipment meets specifications and standards by leading technical bid evaluations, assisting in supplier selection, and coordinating with suppliers during the fabrication phase.

    • Participate in supplier shop inspections for key project milestones, ensuring that fabrication processes meet Honeywell UOP’s rigorous standards. Address any issues or discrepancies that arise during critical inspection points.

    • Continuously identify and implement new methodologies and process improvements to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and performance in electrical engineering tasks.

    • Prepare, update, and maintain detailed technical reports, documentation, and engineering specifications throughout the project. Ensure all documents meet customer and regulatory requirements.

    • Work closely with all members of the project team including quality assurance, piping, instrument, process, and structural designers, purchasing personnel, and project managers to meet project requirements for Instrument equipment.

    • Lead efforts to standardize global electrical designs, ensuring that all engineering tasks comply with regulation, codes and industry standards. Identify non-compliance issues and address them proactively to avoid project delays or rework.

    YOU MUST HAVE:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as the sciences, technology, engineering or mathematics

    • 7+ Years’ experience developing requisitions/specifications for various types of Electrical equipment such as Motors, soft starters/ VFDs, Lighting, and Heat Tracing systems

    • 7+ Years’ experience developing and/or reviewing detail design documents/drawings such as load list, Hazardous area drawings, cable list, schematic diagrams, SLD, grounding, plans and installation details

    • 2+ Years’ experience developing standards for electrical equipment

    WE VALUE:

    • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

    • Extensive working knowledge of electrical area classification and various protection techniques for electrical equipment.

    • Experience in Instrumentation and control (prepare Instrument index, prepare instrument datasheets, cause and effect diagrams, I/O list).

    • Familiarity with 3-D Model Design, Conduit/Tray Routing, Mechanical Support and Installation Details.

    • Experience with energy storage systems, Power Electronics, Utility integrated systems, Inverter controls and integration of power conversion to energy storage systems.

    • Prototype development and modeling experience related to power converter (AC/DC, DC/DC & DC/AC)

    • Ability to work independently with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies

    • An open, honest and team-oriented personality.

    • Creativity and Innovation.

    • Professional engineering license preferred.
