    UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer with strong experience in Cisco networking technologies, network security, and infrastructure troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will serve as the lead technical resource responsible for day-to-day network operations, configuration, and support of enterprise-grade network environments. This role is a fully, on-site position in Brooklyn, NY, Mon-Fri.

    POSITION: Senior Network Infrastructure Engineer

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Serve as the lead technical resource for day-to-day network administration

    + Perform installation, configuration, maintenance, and upgrades of network equipment

    + Troubleshoot complex network issues across Cisco infrastructure platforms

    + Support and maintain Cisco Nexus, ASR, ACI, Catalyst, and SDWAN platforms

    MANDATORY MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

    Candidates who do not meet these requirements will not be considered.

     

    + 8+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco routers and L2/L3 switches (Nexus 9k/7k/5k, ASR, Catalyst, ACI)

    + 8+ years of experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP

    + 5+ years of experience in network security using Cisco ASA and Firepower

    + 5+ years of experience with F5 load balancing solutions (LTM, GTM, BIG-IQ)

    + 5+ years of experience in packet analysis for technical issue resolution

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Experience in education industry or with education-related projects

    + Certifications such as CCNP or VMware

    + Experience with SDWAN, vManage, and Meraki

    + Strong communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences

    + Ability to work independently and as part of a team

    + Detail-oriented and process-focused

    + Experience with VMware NSX and NSX Advanced Load Balancer

    + Familiarity with Splunk SIEM and SPL (Splunk Processing Language)

    + Experience with Azure or AWS cloud infrastructure and ExpressRoute

    + Knowledge of network security best practices and implementation
