    Cybersecurity & Support Analyst

     

    Department: Information Technology

     

    Reports to: Director of Network Infrastructure & Support

     

    Full-Time: A typical work schedule is standard business hours, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with the flexibility to handle escalations or support during peak times or special projects.

     

    Pay Schedule: Biweekly

     

    Exempt: Compensation range is $60,000–$72,000 annually, depending on experience.

     

    Benefits: Begin the first day after the first two full months of employment.

    Position Summary

    The IT Cybersecurity & Support Analyst will provide first-level cybersecurity monitoring and response while also serving as a key technical support resource for internal staff. This role ensures the protection of our digital infrastructure through proactive monitoring and threat detection while also providing day-to-day desktop support to internal users. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, customer-focused professional with a strong foundation in cybersecurity and a service-oriented mindset.

    Essential Functions

    + Monitor networks and systems for security breaches, threats, and suspicious behavior.

    + Investigate alerts and assist in incident response efforts.

    + Support user awareness training on cybersecurity best practices.

    + Maintain system and endpoint protection tools, including antivirus, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems.

    + Install, configure, and update software and operating systems in accordance with security protocols.

    + Perform vulnerability scanning and basic risk assessments.

    + Serve as the primary support contact for end-user issues including hardware, software, and access problems.

    + Document support tickets, incidents, and remediation steps.

    + Collaborate with senior IT staff to ensure systems comply with organizational policies and standards.

    Additional Responsibilities

    Employees may be required to perform duties outside their primary responsibilities or assigned department, as reasonably requested by management. These duties may occasionally occur outside regular working hours, provided they align with applicable labor laws.

    Physical Demands

    + Primarily a sedentary office role with frequent use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.

    + Must be able to lift to 50 lbs.

    + Visual acuity to read and produce reports and communicate effectively in a typical office environment.

    Minimum Qualifications

    + Associate degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

    + Minimum 1–2 years of IT support or cybersecurity experience

    + Familiarity with SIEM tools, antivirus/malware protection, and vulnerability scanning

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange, Outlook, and MS365

    + Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

    + Ability to learn and grow with the business as a team player
