Now actively hiring for entry level assemblers for a leading manufacturing company in Yaphank, NY. **Pay-** $20 per hour

**Shift-** 1st shift - 7:00am-4:30pm Monday-Thursday - 7:00am-11:30am on Fridays

Job Description:

• Assembles products for submarines to engineering specifications and drawings

• Use soldering irons, solder pots, and hand tools to perform work

• Assemble parts and perform tasks such as potting, encapsulation, epoxy bonding, sanding, and cleaning

• May assemble prototype units for engineering

• Recommends solutions to assembly problems regarding fixtures and tools

• Assists other assemblers with questions related to the assembly of our products

• 1+ year of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, or technical certificate

• High School diploma or equivalent

• This position requires either a US Person or a non-US Person who is eligible to obtain any required Export Authorization

• Able to interpret specification, diagram and/or blueprints.

• Able to perform simple math (addition and subtraction, ex. look at dimension)

Physical Requirements:

• Lifting and transport of units up to 30 pounds unassisted.

• Ability to use soldering iron.

• Use of hands in a repetitive cycle.
