Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

Join an established company with over 80 years of experience in the automotive and construction sectors. As the largest thermal heat treatment company, we are seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to ensure the smooth operation and upkeep of our furnaces, equipment, and buildings. You will be responsible for installation, maintenance, and repair tasks, applying your expertise in electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems.

Responsibilities

+ Install, maintain, and repair all furnaces, equipment, and buildings according to diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and specifications.

+ Troubleshoot and repair building electrical systems and electronic equipment.

+ Handle automated equipment with relay and PLC controls.

+ Perform preventive maintenance inspections and operations on various components to ensure optimal performance.

+ Fabricate and install mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, piping, and chemical systems.

+ Read and log meters on equipment and ensure accurate documentation.

+ Use forklifts and hoists to move equipment and systems as required.

+ Participate in job-related meetings, conventions, and training, which may involve overnight stays.

+ Install, repair, and replace fire brick.

Essential Skills

+ High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.

+ Knowledge of electrical systems and electronics equivalent to a two-year technical college education.

+ Experience with electrical troubleshooting, maintenance repair, and PLC troubleshooting.

+ Proficiency in using hand tools and understanding of motors and PLC control.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Ability to fabricate tanks, fixtures, conveyors, furnaces using welding equipment and blueprints.

+ Skill in laying out and installing piping systems with pipe-threading machines and hand tools.

+ Capability to unload, transport, and store fabrication materials using forklifts and hoists.

Work Environment

Work in a non-climate controlled environment that is comfortable and laid-back. You will be required to wear steel-toed shoes and work pants. Our unique, automated machines require extensive training to ensure proficiency.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Murfreesboro, Tennessee.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $62400.00/yr.

This is a fully onsite position in Murfreesboro,TN.
