Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician will perform preventative maintenance along with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs on automated packaging equipment and various other machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities

+ Perform daily preventative maintenance along with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairs of various types of packaging equipment and production equipment, including pumps, gearboxes, motors, etc.

+ Make adjustments and repairs to machines to maintain operating efficiency and reliability.

+ Install bearings, seals, belts, chains, and other parts/components of automated packaging equipment.

+ Work with pneumatics and hydraulics.

+ Perform machinery lubrication, manual milling, lathe, band saw, and presses.

+ Install and repair machinery by reading blueprints and schematics.

+ Assist with identifying and ordering spare parts.

+ Develop basic daily plans to ensure maximum productivity is met without quality defects or safety issues.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum 2 years industrial maintenance experience or currently enrolled in a mechanical and technical program.

+ Experience troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing industrial equipment and machinery.

+ Understanding of industrial equipment, basic electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, hand tools, and power tools to troubleshoot and maintain equipment.

+ Ability to identify and install bearings, seals, belts, chains, and other parts/components of automated packaging equipment.

+ Experience with shop equipment such as mills, lathes, band saws, presses, etc.

+ Ability to perform preventive/corrective maintenance and investigate problems with production equipment following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications.

+ Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints.

+ Problem-solving and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ PLC knowledge is a plus.

+ Experience with shop equipment is a plus.

+ Ability to ask effective questions when needed.

Work Environment

Current openings are for the overnight shift: 6:00pm-6:00am with a swing shift 3 on 2 off rotation. The facility is fast-paced and extremely clean, housing 12 packaging lines, 7 Sonolators, 4-12 ton mixers, and 33 relay tanks. Must be able to work overtime as needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $35.00/hr.
