Patient Support Associate

Pay Rate: $20-24/HR (Depending on Experience)

Schedule: Monday–Friday

Shift: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Are you passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and administrative support in a fast-paced healthcare environment? We are seeking a Patient Services Representative to join our dedicated team. We have openings in Smithtown, West Babylon, and Massapequa, NY, as part of one of New York’s most respected and innovative health systems.

Key Responsibilities

The Practice Support Associate is assigned to administrative duties and responsibilities related to patient care in a team-based care and integrative health environment .

Responsibilities will include:

+ Greeting and checking in patients with professionalism and compassion

+ Scheduling appointments and coordinating lab tests

+ Verifying insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations

+ Communicating with patients, providers, and insurance companies

+ Managing patient check-out and follow-up appointments

+ Handling medical documentation and utilizing EMR systems (experience preferred)

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

+ Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting

+ EMR system experience is required (EPIC, Athena, ECW, etc.)

+ Proven ability to communicate effectively with patients and insurance providers

+ Experience with insurance verification and appointment scheduling is required

+ Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

+ A compassionate, patient-first attitude

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
