    Network Engineer

     

    Duration: 1 year

     

    Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience

    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a skilled and proactive Network Engineer to support one of our largest infrastructure projects to date—the construction of a new hospital tower. This hybrid role involves hands-on network configuration and policy management, as well as close collaboration with project managers and medical center colleagues to ensure seamless integration and performance of network services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Configure and manage Network Address Translations (NATs) to support secure and efficient traffic flow.

    • Update and maintain firewall policies to ensure compliance with security standards and operational requirements.

    • Administer and optimize NSX policies for virtual networking environments.

    • Manage and update load-balancer groups to ensure high availability and performance of critical applications.

    • Perform switch port VLAN assignments and updates to support dynamic network segmentation.

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project managers, clinical staff, and IT colleagues to align network configurations with project goals.

    • Document network changes and maintain accurate records for auditing and troubleshooting purposes.

    Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in networking.

    • Strong understanding of network protocols, firewall configurations, VLANs, and load balancing.

    • Experience with VMware NSX or similar virtual networking platforms.

    • Familiarity with hospital or healthcare IT environments is a plus.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse teams.

    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced project environment.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    Work Environment:

    Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite, 2 days remote.

     

    Office located in Columbus, Ohio.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
