THE POSITION

Your contributions as a Maintenance Repairman 2 will be vital in ensuring the operational efficiency of the buildings, machinery, bridges, and equipment within the Clearfield County maintenance organization. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Maintenance Repairman 2, you will exercise your professional judgement to determine best work practices and procedures for accomplishing assigned tasks in the repair and maintenance of our 13 county-wide facilities. Assignments will involve the use of a variety of hand and power tools, as well as operating forklifts, hand trucks, and other equipment necessary to move oversized or heavy materials . You will be responsible for maintaining and installing plumbing fixtures, painting and repairing damaged walls and surfaces, completing roofing repairs , and performing electrical work. Additional routine duties will entail snow and ice removal, landscaping and lawn care, maintaining scrap material disposal areas, and coordinating the removal of stored hazardous materials.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
+ Work schedule is subject to change due to weather and season.
+ Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Two years of experience as a Maintenance Repairman 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ;or
+ Four years of experience in building and plant maintenance work, which has involved at least two of the building, electrical, or mechanical trades ;or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training that affords the applicant with the Required Knowledges, Skills, and Abilities.
Special Requirements:
+ This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class C Driver's License.
Additional Requirements:
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
