    THE POSITION

    Are you a meticulous and proactive individual eager to become part of our vibrant team in the Department of Transportation? Here, you will be essential in recording, reviewing, and processing of financial documents as well as travel documents for Venango County Maintenance Organization. Your contributions will help ensure the accuracy and timeliness of our financial records.     DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    In this position, you will be responsible for reviewing, recoding, and processing credit card transactions for the counties using Access online, ensuring accurate coding information is entered into our systems. Your duties will include monitoring and processing essential fiscal documents such as work breakdown structures and funds commitment documents, along with various accounting adjustments for all major appropriations in District 1-0. You will also manage accounts receivable revenues and refunds for the District, assist in realigning encumbrances and transactions across fiscal years under the guidance of the District Fiscal Officer, and ensure that funds are allocated to the correct budget fiscal year expenditures. Additionally, you will research and prepare FV50 forms to rectify coding and funding errors, including discrepancies in expenditure charges and revenue receipts. Your role will involve developing status reports for assigned functions based on records and database retrieval, preparing bi-weekly overtime reports for all counties, and updating monthly budget sheets for each county.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Full-time employment

    + Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

    + Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Oil City.

    + Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    + One year as a Fiscal Assistant (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration) ;or

    + Three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school ;or

    + One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an Associate degree in accounting or business administration; or

    + Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
