Summary

Under general direction, performs a variety of job responsibilities which may include operation of a newer model application equipment, delivery of fertilizer and chemical products to customers, equipment and plant maintenance and fertilizer blending.

Key Responsibilities

+ Product application, calibrating application equipment, application equipment maintenance, and cleaning and storing application equipment

+ Loading and delivering fertilizer and chemicals to customers

+ General plant equipment maintenance and housekeeping responsibilities

+ Receiving and unloading product deliveries and warehouse/inventory responsibilities

+ Misc. duties such as special projects, attending provided trainings, providing back-up when/where needed

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

Relevant Experience

+ Two plus years related experience and/or training.

+ Knowledge of the local geography/roads/farms and ability to develop trust with management that moderate to heavy traffic can be negotiated effectively.

+ Ability to assist in equipment rebuilds

+ Ability to calibrate a variety of application equipment

+ Ability to maintain maintenance records for equipment

+ Ability to set up and calibrate injection equipment is a plus

+ Basic knowledge in the areas of mechanical, electrical welding and metal fabrication are a plus

Required Certifications

+ Have or able to obtain a Pesticide Applicator License.

+ Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred or willing to obtain in first 12 months of employment
