School LPN/LVN –General or 1:1 Support Setting

The School LPN/LVNplays a vital role in supporting student health and wellness within theeducational environment. This position may involve working in a general schoolsetting or providing dedicated 1:1 care for a student with specific medicalneeds. Responsibilities include monitoring student health, administeringprescribed treatments, promoting wellness, and collaborating with school staffand families to ensure a safe and supportive learning environment. All care isprovided in accordance with the LPN/LVN scope of practice and complies withapplicable state education and healthcare regulations.

KeyResponsibilities:

Monitor and assessstudent health throughout the school day

Administermedications and treatments as prescribed

Provide first aidand emergency care when needed

Support chroniccondition management and individualized health plans

Promote healtheducation and disease prevention

Maintain accuratehealth records and documentation

Communicateeffectively with students, families, and school personnel

Refer students toappropriate healthcare providers when necessary

MinimumRequirements:

Current LPN/LVNlicense in the state of practice

One year ofexperience in a school or pediatric setting preferred

Current CPRcertification (if applicable)

TB screening(questionnaire, PPD, or chest x-ray as required)

Current healthcertificate (per contract or state regulation)

Compliance with allfederal, state, and local regulations

Must be at least 18years of age

Adherence toprofessional standards of practice
