Join our Clothes Care Nexus Dryer Team as an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer (AME) and play a critical role in bringing innovation to life. You’ll lead key projects across capital equipment, process development, and new product introductions (NPI)—with direct impact on plant performance, cost savings, and product quality.

How You'll Create Possibilities
+ **Lead Capital Equipment Projects** – Drive end-to-end execution from specifications and supplier selection to installation and qualification. Ensure tooling and equipment meet GE standards, maximize uptime, and boost Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
+ **Own Manufacturing Metrics** – Manage labor plans (VLOH), equipment/tooling budgets, and quality performance for your assigned areas. Conduct trade-off analysis and guide decisions that best support business goals.
+ **Design and Develop Processes** – Collaborate across functions to build manufacturing processes aligned with the full value stream, including workstation design, TPM strategies, single-piece flow, and standard work.
+ **Drive Documentation Excellence** – Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and implement Manufacturing Control Plans (MCP) and Manufacturing Control Instructions (MCI).
+ **Champion Safety and Ergonomics** – Work with EHS and Industrial Engineering to design operator-friendly equipment and processes that support a safe work environment.
+ **Collaborate on Value Stream Optimization** – Align project outcomes with factory Lean efforts and overall material flow strategies.
+ **Support Design for Manufacturing (DFMA)** – Engage with product design teams to ensure manufacturability and ease of assembly are considered early in the design process.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Requirements:
+ Technical Degree or equivalent experience
+ 2+ years hands on experience in manufacturing equipment and processes
+ Ability to work in large cross-functional teams and at multiple levels in the organization (both salaried and shop floor operators / skilled trades team members)
+ Good communication skills – will be expected to provide program report outs to cross-functional team
+ Some travel may be required
Preferred Skills** **:
+ Experience with implementing Lean process improvement in a manufacturing operation
+ Prior NPI program experience
+ Six Sigma Certification
+ Proficient in MS Office, MS Scheduler (or equivalent) and AutoCAD
Travel:
+ This position is primarily based in Louisville, KY, but requires travel to other locations as needed. The primary work schedule is the 1st shift; however, occasional support during weekends, 2nd, and 3rd shifts may be necessary. This position will be within a manufacturing setting.
