We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Staff Software Engineer to join our Manufacturing Engineering team and lead the charge in system integration and automation.

    Job Description:

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Lead the design and development of software solutions for system integration and automation within the manufacturing environment.

    + Collaborate with manufacturing engineers, process engineers, and IT teams to identify automation opportunities and develop innovative solutions.

    + Collaborate with teams to optimize manufacturing processes and develop software systems for efficiency.

    + Develop and maintain software applications that integrate with various manufacturing systems, including MES, ERP, and PLCs.

    + Implement and optimize data acquisition, analysis, and reporting systems to support real-time decision-making and continuous improvement.

    + Ensure software solutions can grow as needed, are easy to maintain, and follow industry standards.

    + Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues in a timely manner to minimize production downtime.

    + Mentor and guide junior engineers, encouraging a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

    + Stay current with new technologies and industry trends to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering preferred.

    + 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on system integration and automation in a manufacturing environment.

    + Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, or similar.

    + Experience with manufacturing systems such as MES or equivalent experience, ERP, and PLCs.

    + Strong understanding of data acquisition, analysis, and reporting tools.

    + Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    + Proven track record of leading complex software projects from concept to deployment.

    + Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Experience with cloud-based solutions and IoT technologies.

    + Knowledge of machine learning and AI applications in manufacturing.

    + Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.
