    Job Description

    BAE Systems is hiring a Sr. Warehousing Manger for is York, PA warehouse. Responsibilities include Warehouse Operations and Inventory Control for multiple on-site and offsite warehouse locations supporting production for a number of low volume, high complexity manufacturing programs. This role oversees a broad team of leaders and contributors; over 50 team members, across 3 shifts. Utilizing strong leadership and change management skills, along with robust knowledge of warehousing operations standards and practices. Key responsibilities include:

     

    + Drive safety culture focused on exposure reduction.

    + Lead day-to-day operations of the Warehouse and Logistics, including any coordination of changes with scheduling, resource allocation, equipment, and workflow management.

    + Accountable for development and performance to departmental KPI s along with identifying improvement opportunities.

    + Implements Change Management techniques to redesign and refine warehousing operations, processes, and systems

    + Interface with internal customers and collaborate cross functionally to drive problem resolution and process changes to improve material on time delivery to the floor.

    + Develop strategies and process improvements related to Material Storage, Receipt, Lineside delivery and Reporting.

    + Collaborate with cross functional teams, including Program, Engineering, Quality and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution of production plans.

    + Oversees employees within bargaining unit, support CBA requirements and negotiations as needed

    + Responsible for inventory accuracy within the sites working closely with the team to quickly resolve inventory variances

    + Optimizes storage in existing facilities, driving increased efficiency through process enhancements

    Required Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of experience or equivalent experience

    + Ability to lead and manage in a cross-functional environment with complex issues and rapidly changing priorities and assignments

    + Ability to be resilient in facing challenging situations and creatively solves problems while continuously motivating teams and meeting production demands

    + Proven experience identifying and driving process improvements through experience and analytical/data driven methods

    + Strong communication and presentation skills

    + Prior leadership experience in Warehousing / Logistics

    Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

    + Oracle ERP Experience in Defense (DoD)/Government Contracting environments

    + Bargaining Unit Management Experience

    + Experience supporting low volume, high complexity Manufacturing

    + Training in a formal continuous improvement methodology (Lean, Six Sigma, TPS, etc.)

    + APICS Certification

     

    Pay Information

     

    Full-Time Salary Range: $120000 - $204000

     

    Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
