    _POSITION SUMMARY:_

    The Lead Stocker is responsible for shelving products as they arrive, maintaining overstock, training new hires, and overseeing the duties and responsibilities of stockers.

    _ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:_

    + Shelves product as it arrives.

    + Maintains overstock and keeps department organized.

    + Rotates, straightens, pulls forward and organizes products.

    + Hosts weekly meetings with all stockers to communicate updates, areas of improvement, areas of excellence and any other topics requiring attention.

    + Communicates minutes of meetings to HR and Store Manager.

    + Assists with carry outs and customer needs.

    + Checks dates of product to be sure it is fresh.

    + Trains new stockers and confirm training is complete.

    + Cleans and organizes warehouse space.

    + Removes trash, recycling and any closing duties assigned.

    + Assists with cashier and barista duties as needed.

    + ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

    _EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:_

    + Preferred Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent

    _KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:_

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    + Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment

    + Adaptability to new processes and procedures

    + Excellent self-motivation and initiative while unsupervised.

    + The ability to move freely around your workspace.

    _TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:_

    + N/A

    _PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:_

    + Regular walking, standing, squatting, kneeling, bending, crawling, and lifting up to 50lbs

    + Occasional computer work

    **_INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT_** :

    + Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.
