    TIERRA SpA is a Joint Venture company established in Turin (Italy) in 2008 by Topcon Positioning Systems Inc. Tierra designs and develops electronic systems (both software and hardware) for geo-localization, management, remote diagnostics and maintenance of equipment, vehicles, sensors, and industrial products. Core Offerings: SaaS platforms for mixed fleet management; IoT device development for heavy equipment and asset tracking; Data collection and analytics to generate actionable insights; Subscription-based services tailored to customer needs.

     

    Responsibilities and Duties

    Customer Support

    + Organize, prepare, and manage product demonstrations of Tierra services and solutions for prospects and customers.

    + Provide technical training to customers and prospects on product usage, particularly during onboarding and new feature rollouts.

    + Collaborate with Tierra Engineers on field testing, product fine-tuning, and gathering functional requirements.

    + Deliver classroom-based training at Topcon Solutions Store locations for large groups on Tierra products.

    + Partner with the Topcon Sales team to recommend appropriate solutions from the Topcon/Tierra suite based on customer needs and workflows.

    + Work with Tierra Marketing and Technical Support to create and maintain technical documentation, training materials, and guides in support of sales and marketing efforts.

    + Attend regular alignment meetings with the Sales Manager and provide activity status updates.

    Field Technical Service

    + Perform hardware installations and telematics solution setup, including web platform configuration.

    + Troubleshoot complex installation issues, identify root causes, and implement performance-enhancing solutions.

    + Deliver pre- and post-sales technical support via phone, email, remote sessions, or on-site visits as needed.

    Customer Relationship Management

    + Maintain regular communication with customers regarding technical tasks and support.

    + Take a proactive approach to ensure optimal fleet operation and proper customer platform configurations.

    + Build and maintain trust-based relationships with clients to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.

    Qualifications

    Education & Experience

    + Technical degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics, Mechatronics, or a related field.

    + Minimum 5 years of experience in a technical role involving installation, field support, or laboratory testing.

    Technical Skills

    + Strong knowledge of electronic components used in machinery.

    + Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and perform basic wiring tasks.

    + Electro-mechanical installation and troubleshooting proficiency.

    + Experience with web and embedded applications, CAN bus systems, and data analyzers.

    + Industry knowledge in Industrial Equipment, Telecommunications, or Telematics is required.

    Preferred Experience

    + Background in Agriculture or Construction technology is strongly preferred.

    Soft Skills

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Customer service-oriented with a commercial mindset.

    + Ability to identify customer needs and present appropriate technical solutions.

    Physical Requirements

    + Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.

    + Comfortable walking rugged job sites and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.

    Working Conditions

    + Work is split between indoor (50%) and outdoor (50%) environments.

    + Travel required (by car or plane); frequency may vary based on business needs.

    + Must hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

     

    Expected Base Pay Range: $80,000 to $100,000 Annualized

     

    Target MBO Bonus: 10%

     

    The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed. Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.

We also offer time off for our employees to recharge. Our employees are eligible for paid company holidays, paid personal time off, and paid sick time that meets or exceeds state/local requirements.

     

    Topcon reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation; individual candidate compensation may be determined based on individual skills, experience, training, certifications, education, final work location and other factors not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, or federal law. Changes in the position level, location or other factors associated with the role may change the final determined compensation.     *Topcon time off policies can vary as well as roles which are exempt or non-exempt. For hourly (“non-exempt”) employees, we offer personal paid time off which accrues in accordance with local standards. For salaried (“exempt”) employees, we offer a flexible paid time off policy giving you flexibility to take time when needed, while supporting business needs. All paid time off policies are in accordance with or exceeding local law. Employees working at least 30 hours per week are eligible for our Health and Welfare benefit package.
