+ High school diploma with 2 years of related simulation lab or health care experience
+ Functional knowledge of computer systems, networks, software, hardware, and audiovisual equipment.
+ Functional knowledge of Microsoft software, Microsoft and Apple computer systems.
+ Ability to work with schedules, calendars, and email systems.
+ Ability to operate office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, copiers, fax machines.
+ Ability to work as a team member, as demonstrated by past/present work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Associates Degree or Bachelor of Science degree in a health or technology related area from a regionally accredited institution.
+ Greater than two years of relevant simulation lab experience or comparable health care experience.
+ Certification as a Healthcare Simulation Educator ( CHSE ) or similar certification.
+ Ability to troubleshoot problems with simulation systems, repairing and maintaining simulation equipment and systems for optimal functionality.
+ Ability to multi-task, as demonstrated by past/present work experience.
+ Ability to make independent decisions, as demonstrated by past/present work experience.
+ Ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines.
Job Description
Manage and ensure operational readiness of St. David’s School of Nursing state-of-the-art simulation laboratories and provide assistance in the School of Nursing.
Job Duties
JOB OVERVIEW :
The purpose of this job is to work collaboratively with the Simulation Laboratory Manager and the Director, Simulation and Interprofessional Education ( IPE ) to manage and ensure operational readiness of state-of-the-art simulation laboratories in the School of Nursing, and to provide assistance to nursing faculty, staff, and students.
JOB DUTIES :
+ Provides logistical support for the daily simulated learning activities, to include set-up, tear down of lab rooms, cleaning, laundry, equipment maintenance, and room restocking. Assists with inventory maintenance to include stocking, pulling, labeling, packaging, and physical inventory of lab supplies, equipment, and tools.
+ Assists in operating, programming, and maintenance of high-fidelity simulation equipment, beds, and patient care equipment as needed. Provides technical assistance to and/or operates simulation technology for faculty and simulation lab users.
+ Setup hardware and software in the labs as necessary. Forwards unresolvable issues to the Simulation Lab Manager and/or Director of Simulation and IPE , other University departments, and/or vendors as needed. Serves as a liaison between vendors, manufacturers, and Simulation Lab staff.
+ Maintains records on simulation software licensing, equipment usage, utilization trends, and available resources. Makes recommendations to the Simulation Lab Manager and/or Director of Simulation and IPE on hardware and software purchases based upon evaluation of available products and their capabilities and durability.
+ Assists the American Heart Association Training Center Coordinator with program administration and recordkeeping.
