Valley Natural Foods, a community-owned cooperative in Burnsville, is looking for a dependable and upbeat Part-Time Produce Customer Service team member to help keep our produce department looking fresh and vibrant.

What You'll Do:

+ Keep our produce displays stocked, clean, and looking beautiful.

+ Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers looking for produce tips or product info.

+ Rotate and check produce for freshness and quality throughout your shift.

+ Assist with unloading deliveries and prepping produce for the sales floor.

+ Support the team with light cleaning, organizing, and maintaining department standards.

What We’re Looking For:

+ A strong work ethic, positive attitude, and excellent reliability, we depend on our produce team!

+ Comfort working on your feet, bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, and staying active throughout your shift.

+ Interest in fresh food, healthy eating, or sustainable agriculture is a big plus.

+ Previous grocery, produce, or retail experience is helpful, but we’ll train the right person.

+ Weekend availability is required (including at least one weekend day).

Schedule & Hours:

+ Part-time: Approximately 16–24 hours/week

+ Includes morning (especially Sundays & Mondays) and weekend shifts

+ Flexibility to pick up extra shifts is a plus!

Requirements

Mandatory Qualifications:

+ Excellent time management, organizational and communication (oral, aural, and written) skills

+ Attentive and able to multi-task and remain flexible to the changing needs of the business

+ English proficiency

+ Regular, predictable attendance

Preferred Qualifications:

+ Previous customer service experience

+ Familiarity with natural foods, grocery industry or cooperatives

Physical Demands:

+ Ability to lift/push/pull/carry up to 30 pounds frequently; 30-50+ pounds occasionally

+ Manual dexterity with ability to reach, grasp and utilize hands, wrists, and fingers for extended periods of time

+ General range visual acuity to evaluate and interact in working environment for extended periods of time

+ Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time

+ Regular exposure to working in refrigerated environments

+ Ability to climb ladders, kneel, crouch, and bend occasionally required
