    A Brief Overview

     

    The Safety and Wellbeing Program Coordinator will lead the development, implementation, and oversight of the Safety & Wellbeing Program, supporting the Safety & Wellbeing Council and its strategic initiatives. This program encompasses using behavioral health science including trauma informed care to address workplace violence prevention, clinical intervention, crisis response, collaboration with security and broader safety initiatives designed to enhance the physical, psychological, and emotional wellbeing of employees, patients, and visitors.

     

    In this role, the coordinator will embed a trauma-informed approach throughout all safety and wellbeing efforts, ensuring that policies, procedures, and response strategies align with evidence-based best practices. Through data analysis and trend identification, the coordinator will drive continuous improvement, ensuring the effective implementation of proactive safety measures and behavioral health best practices. Additionally, they will facilitate cross-departmental collaboration, integrating safety and wellbeing as a core organizational value across all levels.

    Essential Functions

    + • Regulatory and Compliance: Achieve and maintain regulatory compliance with team member work-place violence. Specifically, they work with outside vendors to plan, schedule and implement a sustainable workplace violence training curriculum (verbal de-escalation, environmental awareness, and personal safety strategies. • Quality: Support the established framework by using best practice as it relates to Safety & Wellbeing. Ensuring that the initiatives that are focused on prevention, intervention and crisis response to prevent workplace violence and ensure safety for patients, families and team members are data driven. • Policy and Procedure: Responsible for the oversight (development and sustainment) of related policies, procedures, protocols, clinical practice guidelines, protocols. • Program Development and Education: Identifies, develops, facilitates, and delivers relevant education/training including to team members. • Lead initiatives and support implementation and expansion of best practice. Lead's training programs related to safety and & behavioral health expertise. • Project Management: Create project plans, accountable owners, and timelines to meet strategic goals and metrics

    + Operational/Financial Coordination • Responsible for the implementation and execution of business plans or activities for the department. May assist in the development of business plans. • Makes decisions guided by the business plan and resource availability that impacts service levels and the team’s ability to meet objectives. • Implements data driven initiatives for related to behavioral health & safety initiatives. May recommend policy changes related to the department. • Develops and monitors policies related to the Safety & Wellbeing Council. • Applies business and management expertise to identify problems/opportunities, determine solutions, and measure results. • Ensures compliance with quality assurance, safety practices, policies, regulatory, and legal requirements. • Contract management with outside vendors for de-escalation.

    + Regular attendance at work is an essential function of the job.

    Education Qualifications

    + Master's Degree From an accredited college or university Required

    Experience Qualifications

    + Minimum of 5 years of experience in social work or behavioral health Required and

    + Experience with Data Analysis Preferred and

    + Project management experience Preferred

    + Demonstrated leadership skills and strategic planning in leading and managing cross-functional teams, as well as working collaboratively, at all levels of the organization.

    + Advanced oral, written, listening, communication, facilitator, and presentations skills.

    + Strong interpersonal skills and teamwork focused.

    + Demonstrated ability to address and creatively manage conflict.

    + Demonstrated ability to manage timelines, budget, and resources.

    + Demonstrated ability to develop and manage a program.

    + Institutes change management principles.

    + Proven organization and time management skills, along with adaptability, comfort with ambiguity, and motivation to effectively balance multiple assignments and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail.

    + Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    Licenses and Certifications

    + Workplace Violence Prevention Certification Preferred
