    Job: Storeroom Resource Team Leader

     

    Hours: M-F 07:00AM-3:30PM, EOW/EOH

     

    Department: WBH- General Stores

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    Responsible, in coordination with the Supervisor General Stores, for operation of the supply chain logistics sections of the LG Health Downtown, Women & Babies Hospital and Suburban Outpatient Pavilion storerooms. Leads and instructs the support staff involved with receiving, shipping, material handling, distribution and inventory control functions. Acts as a liaison between service areas and the Storeroom.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Qualified individuals must have the ability (with or without reasonable accommodation) to perform the following duties:

    + Plans, coordinates and implements replenishment supply systems as new entities come online. Assists in the development of plans/solutions to accommodate areas that are in need of additional supplies or temporary storage space due to construction restraints within their existing areas.

    + Maintains and coordinates mobile supply chain management operating system and Censitrac equipment processing system, keeping systems up to date by working with Nurse Managers, Information Services, Materials Management and System Administrators.

    + Responsible for coordinating daily replenishment of required supplies. Establishes daily delivery priorities, accommodating urgent demands for supplies.

    + Proactively monitors the storeroom operations. Ensures all deliveries are entered into Material Management computer system as soon as received and product is then appropriately stored in designated bin location.

    + Monitors floor par closet inventory with the assistance of Storeroom Clerks, Lawson reports and management teams to readjust supply levels where applicable and establish effective supply storage locations.

    + Monitors the storeroom and the numerous projects associated with short and long term storage needs and supply chain management.

    + Responsible for completing month-end department reports and other financial reports, assisting in each month-end closing.

    + Works with department managers and/or their designees to maintain communication with all service line areas. Demonstrates a thorough knowledge of supplies and plans effectively for unanticipated patient volumes.

    + Assists Supervisor with employee counseling and progressive corrective action policies. Provides Supervisor with input for completion of employee performance appraisals.

    + Provides assistance and support in the absence of department Supervisor.

    + Responsible for daily staff work assignments to accommodate departmental needs.

    + Works with the Logistics Specialist to establish appropriate par levels within the storeroom environment.

    + Maintains a clean, hazardous free work area.

    SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: The following duties are considered secondary to the primary duties listed above:

    + Coordinates back-order supply issues with Purchasing and General Stores team to ensure product is delivered on a timely basis or to ensure that an adequate substitute will be on-hand when required.

    + Coordinates product recalls with Purchasing and General Stores team to ensure product is removed from service areas in a timely and efficient manner.

    + Reviews and analyzes product usage of storeroom stocked items to determine if they meet storage criteria, and determines bin sizes and bin location of new products based upon projected space requirements.

    + Participates in department performance improvement programs.

    + Other duties as required or assigned.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    + High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

    + In-depth knowledge of computerized inventory control.

    + Three (3) to five (5) years experience in warehousing, storage and receiving.
