Summary :
We are looking for an energetic, culturally-aware and well-connected Director of PR & Communications to lead our external communications and media relations efforts. The successful candidate will be able to lead the generation and execution of PR and press coverage. You’ll be responsible for shaping and protecting the public image of our brand, developing comprehensive PR strategies, managing crises, and fostering strong media and stakeholder relationships.
What You’ll Do…
Strategic Planning & Execution
+ Develop and execute PR strategies that support business goals and elevate the brand through culturally relevant and strategic media relations, earned coverage and more.
+ Develop and nurture relationships with key players in the lifestyle, fashion, media, entertainment, and book industries, including journalists, influencers, editors, publishers, authors, and agents.
+ Conceptualize and secure high-profile media placements that elevate brand awareness.
+ Align messaging with brand and marketing teams to ensure brand consistency.
Analytics & Reporting
+ Track and analyze media coverage, campaign performance, and sentiment.
+ Provide regular reporting to internal stakeholders and leadership on CMR—providing insights and recommendations.
+ Prepare and edit PowerPoint documents reporting on PR activities across MS categories and partner activations.
Creation of Press Materials
+ Oversee the creation of press releases, pitches, messaging points, media kits, Q&A documents, and briefing materials for various audiences.
+ Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure technical and brand accuracy.
About You…
+ 7+ years of experience in publicity roles in entertainment, fashion, media, or consumer technology.
+ Exceptional networking and relationship-building skills, with a strong existing network in culturally relevant industries.
+ Experience building brand equity through PR.
+ Strong project management skills.
+ Strong creative communication skillset both writing and speaking.
+ Comfortable using data to inform decision making.
Salary Range: $100,000 - $225,000
