    The Work

     

    Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full\-time Software Test Engineer\.

     

    As a key member of the test engineering team, you will contribute to all phases of system testing—from planning to execution\. Your responsibilities will include:

     

    • Developing and executing detailed test plans and procedures in collaboration with the Engineering Project Manager \(EPM\), Chief Engineer \(CE\), and Functional leadership\.

    • Coordinating system resources to support test execution\.

    • Debugging and resolving software anomalies in test environments\.

    • Troubleshooting test equipment and supporting the resolution of hardware and system issues\.

    • Supporting system integration activities, including software builds and installations on tactical hardware\.

    • Ensuring test procedures meet Product and Critical Item Development Specifications\.

     

    This position is located at a facility that requires special access\. The selected candidate will be required to hold an active government Secret security clearance\. MUST BE A U\.S\. CITIZEN\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field\.

    • 1\+ years of professional experience in unit and systems testing\.

    • Strong Proficiency in at least one programming language \(Java, or C\+\+\)\.

    • Development, integration, troubleshooting experience with the Linux/Unix Operating System\.

    • Proficiency in command line scripting \(E\.G\. Bash, Python\)

    • Ability to work independently and familiarity with automated testing tools \(e\.g\., Sikuli, Selenium\)\.

    • Experience using continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI to support build automation, deployment, and CI/CD pipeline job configuration\.

    • Experience with electronic test equipment \(e\.g\., multimeter, oscilloscope\)\.

    • Strong system\-level troubleshooting skills\.

    • Ability to read and interpret system requirements\.

    • U\.S\. citizenship with the ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance\.

    Desired Skills:

    • Additional experience in Python programming\.

    • Background in analog, RF, or digital circuit testing\.

    • Ability to interpret test results and conduct root cause/failure analysis\.

    • Familiarity with Windows\-based engineering tools such as SAP, EPDM, LabView, JIRA, and PM Compass\.

    • Strong communication and presentation skills\.

    • Demonstrated leadership capabilities and problem\-solving initiative\.

    **Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.

    **Clearance Level:** Secret

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
