    The Pricing & Contracts Sr. Analyst will support the analytics, operations and contracting functions within US Sales Channels and Canada, as required. Primary responsibilities include providing business reporting, trend analysis, analytics, financial modeling for RFP’s and contract renewals, PBM/payer rebate invoice reconciliation, support for internal/external audits and forecasting of rebates for PBMs and payers for AOP/LRP and quarterly financial projections. Additional contracting responsibilities across the embecta North America commercial teams, including Strategic Accounts (Managed Care and Retail), Channel Management, GPO, Long-term Care, Acute Care, PBM, Mail order and DME distributors in the US and Canada.

     

    This role will sit hybrid in our Parsippany, NJ office

    _RESPONSIBILITIES:_

    + Provide Strategic Account Managers/Directors, VP of Strategic Accounts and the embecta North America Leadership team with actionable analytics and insights to enable decision-making.

    + Analyze and compare customer provided and 3rd party data sources to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.

    + Provide financial modeling and offers for Pricing Committee to include embecta and customer impact, and support for presentations in collaboration with Strategic Analytics, Strategic Pricing & Contracting team and Strategic Account team associates.

    + Support the Strategic Pricing & Contracting team in the overall ownership of North America commercial contracting; to include drafting, amending, redlining, warehousing, management, and coordination with embecta counsel and other internal stakeholders.

    + Maintain an accurate forecast of Market Access rebates and discounts

    + Assist in the embecta budget setting and long-range planning processes, as well as any Operating Committee and North America Leadership Team presentations.

    + Process and reconcile rebate invoices and ensure compliance to contracted terms & conditions, and manage the payment process.

    + Monitor, assess and provide business insights on formulary, coverage, benefit design, and utilization management policies impacting access to embecta products.

    + Monitor, assess and provide business insights on PBM/payer consolidation/integration, competitive activity, market trends that present either a risk or opportunity to embecta’s business.

    + Maintain key metrics for Strategic Accounts, including a Risk & Opportunity (R&O) report, lives by payer and formulary coverage summary files.

    + Provide support for internal and external auditors while maintaining compliance to current SOX controls for Pricing & Contracting.

    + Manage expenses and administrative requirements as specified by embecta policies and leadership.

    + Requires occasional domestic travel (~10% overnight), including some weekends, and access to a major airport.

    _Basic Requirements:_

    + Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four-year college or university is required, preferably in a heath or business discipline.

    + 2+ years’ experience medical device/pharmaceutical industry.

    + 2+ years’ experience at a PBM/payer or in a pharmaceutical or medical device company.

    + Proficiency in financial models, forecasting, and contracts.

    + Proficient in MS Office applications.

    + Must be able to communicate effectively in English.

    Preferred Requirements:

    + 2+ years’ experience commercial payers (both regional and national), Mail Order pharmacies, Durable Medical Equipment (DME) providers, State FFS Medicaid programs, Medicaid PBM’s, Managed Medicaid payers and Medicare payers.

    + Candidate should demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be required to communicate with multiple external customers, internal stakeholders, and Senior Leadership.

    + Demonstrated proficiency in pharmacy benefit, PBM’s/payers, stakeholders across PBM/payer organization, reimbursement, formulary management, benefit design, reimbursement models and Diabetes disease state and treatment options.

    + The ideal candidate is an out of the box thinker and problem solver, with track record of success in ambiguous situations.

    + Prior knowledge of DRG applications, SAP/Power BI, Symphony/IQVIA national data sets and applications, and other embecta internal data systems and resources are preferred.

     

    _Competitive base salary based on experience and qualifications: $87,600 -$116,050(subject to variation depending on physical location)._
