Kelly Services is seeking a Quote Specialist for an electronic manufacturer located in West Melbourne, Florida 32904.

Schedule- Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm

Pay rate: $25+ dependent on experience

The Quote Specialist is responsible for translating customer requirements and purchasing specifications into a market quotable format for electronics manufacturer

Reports to the Quote Supervisor and/or Vice President of Business Development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Translate customer requirements and purchasing specifications into a market quotable format.

+ Aggregate demand in customer Request for Quote RFQs and attain detailed costing information for all piece parts for all facilities.

+ Establish channels to obtain low-cost pricing for each facility for sheet metal, cables and other custom unique parts best sourced locally.

+ Establish channels to obtain low-cost pricing internationally where appropriate. Establish corporate arrangements for PCB s, sheet metal, plastics, etc. to drive PPV and competitive pricing.

+ Re-quote all major customers quarterly to drive material cost down.

+ Manage program part award program in addition to tracking VPA and terms to ensure compliance.

+ Provide updated pricing for ECO s that substantially alter the assembly cost. Manage material strategies for new product introduction Develop and manage weekly quote log.

+ Negotiate and obtain competitive market pricing, lead-times, minimum lot sizing, and special conditions.

+ Analyze competitive information and understand market trends.

+ Submit competitive bid proposal to sales and marketing in a timely manner. Continuously update competitive information based on market trends, customer requirement and supplier consolidation.

+ Interface with Buyers, Program Managers and Engineers to deliver complete and accurate quote package or in support of receiving a purchase order PO from customer.

+ Interface with suppliers and potential suppliers as required.

+ May train and mentor other employees.

+ Other responsibilities as directed and necessary for the business.

Qualifications:

+ Bachelor s Degree and 3 + years of procurement/quote experience in a contract manufacturing environment is preferred.

+ In lieu of education, years of experience may be considered.

+ Extensive knowledge on electronic components and make to print commodities. Understands industry market trends.

+ Familiar with major OEM s and distribution channels.

+ Excellent business tools/ applications knowledge i.e., Email, Excel, MS Word etc. Good business acumen.

+ Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Strong problem solving, creative thinking and workstation skills.

+ Self-motived, ability to work independently and quickly with a high degree of accuracy and detail.

+ Ability to prioritize and organize workload to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously and ability to operate in a multi-tasking, highly dynamic work environment.

+ Willingness to work flexible hours as necessary.
