    Physician Assistant, Urgent Care

    Position Purpose:

    The Physician Assistant provides care to patients under the direction of the supervising physician. Assists physician in the care and treatment of patients with chronic and acute conditions. Assists physician with initial examinations, preparing the care plan, initiating treatment plans and monitoring the effectiveness of the plan care.

     

    *This is for an experienced Physician Assistant working in an Urgent Care setting.

     

    Education: Successful completion of a Physician Assistant program that qualifies for certification status in Ohio. Bachelors Degree required.

     

    • Licensure / Certification: Current license, certification or registration in the State of Ohio.

    • National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant (NCCPA) certification.

    • BLS/ACLS certification required.

    • Experience: Minimum of 2 years recent clinical experience in adult care.

    • Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to develop ongoing relationships with patients and other health team members for the purpose of providing primary care and education

    • Higly motivated, self-directed professional.

    • Demontrates strong organizational and leadership skills, self-directed and flexible

    • Demonstrates excellent clinical assessment and analytical skills.

    • Demonstrates the ability to communicate and work collaboratively with a variety of individuals and departments.

    • Demonstrates the ability to follow established protocols and provide suggestions for improvement.

    • Demonstrate the ability to facilitate problem resolution and maintains professional demeanor in difficult situations.

    • Knowledge in the functional operations of utilization management, discharge planning, business office and third party payers preferred.

    • Demonstrates knowledge of medical terminology.

    • Effective Communication Skills

    • Maintains a supervision agreement with the supervising physicians
