    8:00 am - 5:00 pm, off-hours will be scheduled according to experimental design

    Job Description:

    The Ren Lab at Scottish Rite for Children and UT Southwestern Medical Center is seeking highly motivated and detail-oriented Research Technician(s) to join our collaborative team focused on bone biology, tissue regeneration, and osteonecrosis.

    Responsibilities:

    The successful candidate will support a range of biomedical research projects by performing duties including:

    + Mouse colony handling, genotyping, and breeding

    + Standard molecular biology techniques: RNA and protein isolation, PCR, qPCR, western blotting, ELISA

    + Cell culture and primary cell isolation

    + Tissue processing, histology, immunostaining, and microscopy (including confocal imaging)

    + Data entry, lab organization, and inventory maintenance

    Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences or related field required

    + Strong attention to detail and good record-keeping

    + Proficiency in basic lab techniques listed above

    + Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment

    Preferred (but not required):

    + Prior experience with RNA quality assessment and library prep

    + Familiarity with single-cell RNA-seq or multiomics data analysis
