JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director, End-to-End Experience Design, US & Canada role will adopt global end-to-end (E2E) brand roadmaps developed by the center
team to meet the specific needs of regions across the continent. As “pod” leaders within the Continent Lodging Product & Services organization, they
will lead cross-discipline teams to execute prioritized, measurable, and high-impact work, leveraging customer insights and market research to drive
innovation and brand evolution. The Senior Director will oversee the development and implementation of tailored E2E experience strategies,
ensuring alignment between business objectives and customer expectations. This role requires fluency in all aspects of physical and digital brand
management and will be key in collaborating across disciplines to deliver outstanding customer experiences. The Senior Director will coordinate with
global and other continent E2E teams to share best practices and learnings, fostering a global culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
_Required_
• Ten or more years’ relevant professional experience in customer experience design, brand strategy, design thinking, trends and
innovation, or related function, demonstrating progressive career growth and patterns of exceptional performance
• Demonstrated ability in customer experience design, design thinking, innovation, brand and product development, journey mapping
_Preferred_
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in design, experience design, or service design
• Past experience leading the design, development, and delivery of complex customer experiences or brand strategy, using design thinking,
creativity, and expert communication skills to deliver powerful, results-oriented meetings and workshops
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
• Develop and implement tailored E2E experience design strategies considering customer feedback, maps, personas, user research,
technical constraints, and opportunities to create end-to-end experience design concepts that support business and consumer objectives.
• Lead all aspects of E2E user experience design utilizing quantitative and qualitative methodologies (i.e., testing prototypes through user
interviews, coordinating in-depth usability testing, mining user analytics, etc.).
• Work closely with loyalty, enterprise partnerships, and global brand stakeholders to understand brand and product strategies, and
differentiators to inform concepts and experiences requiring distinctive approaches.
• Collaborate with cross-discipline teams to deliver outstanding customer experiences.
• Leverage and share best practices and learnings with other continent and global teams to foster innovation and accelerate continuous
improvement.
• Lead the concepting and design of new products or services and pilot these concepts in market, and consult on deployment and
implementation.
• Interpret research such as quantitative data and qualitative feedback into actionable next steps.
• Identify and develop consumer trends and translate into opportunities for MI. Demonstrate understanding of trends that are post-peak,
peak and emergent in terms of adoption.
• Cultivate global and multi-disciplinary relationships and collaborate with other teams at MI including Consumer Insights & Data Analytics,
Physical Design, Development, Continent Lodging Services, Owner & Franchising Services, Partnerships, Marketing, and Digital.
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
The salary range for this position is $147,000 to $222,600 annually.
