Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Java Developer for a large OEM in Dearborn, MI. This group is part of the commercial side of business and works to support a range of customers who need vehicles to support their business endeavors.

Primary responsibilities include:

60% of work is maintenance

o Troubleshooting issues, upgrading frameworks

Define, design, develop, and deploy services and applications in a micro service / cloud-based architecture.

o Migrating technologies/services (PCF to GCP)

o Upgrading services

o Coding new services

Standing up new APIs/Microservices

o Unit testing (team uses JUnit)

o Troubleshooting issues

Ensure functional and non-functional quality and on-time delivery using agile principles.

Paired development as needed, test driven development, and continuous delivery to release early and often.

Collaborate and work closely together with a balanced team of developers.

Bi-weekly sprint planning

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Skills and Requirements

Mid-level software development/java development experience

Java Development experience building microservices and cloud-based solutions using Springboot

Experience working in cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform or Azure or Pivotal Cloud Foundry or AWS or similar)

Strong understanding of databases Kotlin experience

React experience

GCP experience

o Cloudrun

Understanding of API latencies, how to test APIs null
