    Job Description:

    Utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision making skills, works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. Provides health care to individuals and families, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention. They may care for patients ranging in age from newborn to elderly as noted in age-related category and area of expertise.

    PRACTICE SPECIFICS

    + Join the Heart and Vascular team in an Advanced Bronchoscopy/Pulmonary nodule position

    + Pulmonary Team includes one NP who provides support for the inpatient Pulmonary Service.

    + 50% Pulmonary Medicine; 50% Medical Critical Care.

    + Medical Critical Care across five ICUs: MICU, SICU, NSICU, CICU and Burn ICU.

    + Medical Critical Care Team includes two NP Intensivists for support.

    + One of the highest acuity hospitals in the state of Minnesota.

    + Looking for collegial, new or experienced provider to join an experienced and growing team to support departmental and outreach needs.

    + 1.0 FTE, full-time status

    + 12-14 patients per day

     

    The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant utilizes advanced health assessment, knowledge, and decision-making skills, while working both independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals. The NP/PA will provide health care to individuals emphasizing health promotion, disease prevention and chronic disease management. Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.

    EDUCATION:

    Master’s or Doctorate degree in Nursing or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited program.

    LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

    Current licensure as a registered nurse in Minnesota Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Minnesota Current certification in CPR. National certification, in applicable area. Successful completion of Essentia Health credentialing process prior to practice.

     

    Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
