    Adecco is currently hiring immediately for a **Logistics Specialist** opportunity in **Southfield, MI!** This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position with excellent growth potential in a fast-paced, team-oriented logistics environment. The role is onsite and offers consistent hours and the opportunity to gain valuable experience in international shipping and freight coordination.

     

    **Pay Rate:** $24.00 per hour

    **Shift:** Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

    **Assignment Type:** Onsite

     

    We are seeking a **reliable and detail-oriented logistics professional** with prior industry experience—international logistics experience is a major plus. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and confident working across teams to ensure shipments run smoothly and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Monitor email and serve as liaison between the customer, shipper, and freight forwarder

    + Place shipments out to quote, return bids to buyers, book sailings and flights, and track & trace shipments

    + Enter customer load tenders and maintain accurate customer profile information

    + Update internal systems with freight forwarder status updates

    + Communicate with account managers and customers on problem loads, providing updates and resolution steps

    + Verify pick-ups and deliveries are completed on time and in good condition

    + Provide clear and detailed routing instructions to freight forwarders

    Requirements:

    + Minimum **3+ years of logistics experience** (international preferred, but not required)

    + General knowledge of the transportation or freight industry

    + Strong communication skills and ability to work independently

    + High attention to detail and strong organizational skills

    + Experience writing reports, responding to emails, and updating shipment records

    + Reliable attendance and professional demeanor

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Ability to interpret written, verbal, and diagram instructions

    + Experience with international shipping coordination is a strong advantage
