As a Senior Control System Engineer part of the Instrument, Electrical and Controls team within Petrochemicalsdivision in Freeport, you will provide and maintain safe and reliable Control Systems that meet Productionrequirements, perform as necessary to achieve functional and safety obligations, and maximize systemcapabilities. This includes the leadership of the system migration and lifecycle process, maintenancerecommendation and oversight of installed base equipment, membership on key related teams, coordination ofconcepts with Operations, Technology, and Maintenance personnel.
This role requires you to work a flexible schedule, including providing off-hours/weekend support as necessary tosupport maintenance and operations.

+ Supporting capital and maintenance projects in the area that require interface to control systems throughoutconception, design, implementation, and commissioning as well as develop and ensure maintenance ofdatabases of key advanced process control installations in the area and help ensure its functionality andsustainability.
+ Developing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining manuals for every system in the production areas,being responsible for the standardization and quality of all configurations.
+ Programming HMI, DCS and (Safety)PLC’s using Function Block Diagrams, ladder logic and SequentialFunction Logic and SIS and other instrument testing assistance.
+ Assisting in configuration, preventative maintenance, hardware/software support, spare parts management andadministration for unit DCS and control systems.
+ Developing and maintaining long-term control system migration plans for the plant with Engineers, Technicians,Technologist, HRDE and Operations personnel and assist with the MOC process.
+ Tracking Total Cost of Ownership for control systems, including monitoring failures, assisting in initial hardwareinstallations, maintenance contract tracking and communication, optimizing software version upgrades and addressing vendor liaison issues.
+ Performing advanced control and graphic configuration as a subject matter expert. Additionally, supportingCapital projects in areas requiring interface to control systems throughout conception, design, implementation,and commissioning and in some cases, serving as manufacturing or technical representative.
+ Participating on Peer Working Groups and work with Control Systems Engineers, IE Maintenance Engineers,Technologist and Technicians to increase standardization of process control systems across site and in unitarea.
If you...
+ Have education in Computer, Chemical or Electrical Engineering and/or relevant work experience in thechemical or similar industry with emphasis on strong technical knowledge in process controls, networking,security, field instrumentation, and control systems.
+ Possess at least 7 years of experience with DCS and/or PLC programming, controls systems, automation, andinstrumentation.
+ Have strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, and keen attention todetail.
