• Remote Mechanical Design Engineer

    Description

    3 month++ contract (will likely be longer) supporting a large client.

     

    Client is chasing a project in MD that involves the design of a blending system for a vinyl siding and exterior trim extrusion plant. when they get the project, design will begin in August and continue through November. The engineer does not have to relocate but occasional travel to the customer in MD will be required.

     

    The engineer will need the following skills/capabilities

     

    High Level

     

    Pneumatic conveying- dilute and dense phase

     

    Dust collection

     

    Weigh hoppers- load cells

     

    Bulk bag unloaders

     

    Medium Level

     

    Structural supports for equipment

     

    Coordinate with others

     

    PLC controls

     

    Weight controls

     

    Power and control wiring

     

    Scope will be to specify equipment, develop design documents, work with customer staff on approvals, assist with operating manual development

     

    Skills

     

    Mechanical Engineering, Material handling system design, AutoCAD OR Solidworks, Social skills

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $72.00/hr.
