    As a National Facility Manager at Kuehne+Nagel, you’ll be the strategic force behind ensuring our nationwide network of facilities runs like clockwork—clean, safe, and performance-ready. Your leadership will directly shape how we optimize building operations, elevate safety standards, and drive smart decisions within budget. Whether deploying in-house expertise or leveraging outsourced IFM solutions, your impact will be tangible, felt in every corner of our infrastructure.     How you create impact

    Facility Operations

    + Implement preventive maintenance, asset lifecycle strategies, and site inspections

    + Ensure full compliance with local/national building and operational regulations

    + Collaborate with internal teams, contractors, engineering, and government entities

    + Maintain accurate building plans, databases, licenses, and technical documentation

    Technical Expertise & Sustainability

    + Provide hands-on insight into electrical, ventilation, mechanical, and control systems

    + Lead energy and utility management efforts to reduce environmental impact

    + Monitor consumption and deploy energy-saving best practices

    Financial Oversight

    + Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage facility budgets

    + Drive contract negotiations and compliance with procurement processes

    + Ensure delivery of facility services within financial and timeline targets

    Vendor Management

    + Maintain supplier database and evaluate market offerings

    + Develop and sustain positive relationships with external partners

    + Act as the single point of contact for facility-related services

    Leadership & Organizational Support

    + Lead maintenance teams and contractors across multiple sites

    + Align facility strategies with business needs and stakeholder priorities

    + Report performance metrics, mediate conflicts, and foster cross-functional collaboration

    Quality & Compliance

    + Ensure zoning, ESG, and QSHE compliance across offices and warehouses

    + Prepare for and respond to emergencies with proactive contingency planning

    + Promote continuous improvement using KPIs, SLAs, and benchmarking

    Strategic Decision Making

    + Guide facility strategy through transparent collaboration with procurement and business leads

    + Influence operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business retention

    What we would like you to bring

    + Bachelor degree in facility management/engineering or equivalent work experience

    + Well-versed in technical/engineering operations and facility management best practices

    + Strong technical background

    + Ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the business and obtain buy in

    + Good knowledge of (Project) Management tools, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

    + Knowledge of basic accounting and finance principles

    + Strong affinity with required customer quality standards

    + Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, knowledge of French is an advantage

    + Ability to demonstrate an analytical, logical and numerate approach, understand user requirements

    + Ability to analyze and process (big) data, perform risk analysis within the decision-making progress.
