**Job Title:** PPM Plant Mechanic-- Lakeland, FL
Job Summary:
MOR PPM Inc., seeks a Plant Auto Mechanic in Lakeland, FL. This position performs journey level work involving diagnosis, servicing, maintenance, and repair of internal power plant transportation and equipment. Work involves the responsibility for inspection, testing, evaluation, and repair of all types of motorized, fuel and battery operated golf carts, ATV, small engine repairs, chain saws, concrete saws etc., with minimal or no assistance. Larger equipment maintenance, and knowledge would be a plus.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
+ Performs repairs to brake systems (air and hydraulic); ignition systems, diesel and gasoline fuel systems. Also repairs battery operated systems, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
+ Performs preventative maintenance on all types of carts, ATV's, and fuel operated equipment.
+ Orders parts and materials for required repairs. Physically verifies receipt of correct parts prior to installation.
+ Completes work orders for each vehicle, detailing description of repair, repair codes, time requirements, shop parts, and fluids used. Verifies and records current meter reading.
+ Performs maintenance and servicing of shop equipment and facilities.
+ Complies with EPA, Division of Storm Water, and OSHA requirements, regarding safety, environmental, and transportation programs.
+ May be required to work overtime, or alternate hours, as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
+ Performs related work as required.
Experience:
+ Two years of experience in a maintenance role or equipment repair.
+ Knowledge of the automotive repair trade gained through vocational and original equipment manufacturer schools, vendor seminars, on the job training, and/or other methods.
+ knowledge of occupational hazards, safety, and environmental regulations related to the automotive and equipment repair trade.
+ Skilled in the use of tools and the operation of machinery and equipment used in the automotive mechanics trade including computerized and electronic diagnostic equipment.
+ Ability to inspect equipment for serviceability, diagnosis and troubleshooting, and to organize repair sequences in a logical and efficient manner.
Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:
+ Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
+ May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
+ Must possess enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
+ Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
+ Must have full range of motion consistent with age
+ Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
+ Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
+ Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
+ Safety/Steel toe shoes are required
