    About the Role

     

    Manage our employees' Leave of Absence requests, interpret policies, review medical certs, authorize requests, track data, and coordinate their returns. This is a hybrid role with both in-office and remote days each week.

    Key Responsibilities

    + Interpret and apply leave policies in accordance with organizational guidelines and legal requirements

    + Review medical certifications and Leave of Absence (LOA) forms to determine eligibility and duration of leave

    + Calculate and assess leave durations, ensuring accuracy and compliance

    + Authorize all LOA requests and maintain records in the system

    + Coordinate employee returns, collaborating with various teams to ensure a smooth transition back to work

    + Provide outstanding customer service to our employees and their leaders

    + Prepare and maintain detailed reports on leave activities

    Required Qualifications

    + High school diploma, GED, or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred)

    + 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role with a focus on Leaves of Absence (5+ years preferred)

    + Strong knowledge of federal and state leave laws, including FMLA and CFRA

    + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

    + Ability to technically interpret and apply policies and procedures

    + Proficient in using HRIS systems, preferably PeopleSoft and/or Workday

    + Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams

    + Strong analytical skills to determine eligibility and duration of leave accurately

    The current salary range for this position is $28.09 to $38.62

     

    Rady Children’s Hospital is committed to compensation that is externally competitive and internally equitable. The range listed above does not represent the full salary range for the position but is the expected hiring range for qualified candidates.
