    Campus: Rose Hill (RH) - Bronx

    Position Summary:

    Reporting to the Head Coach, Women’s Basketball, the Strength & Conditioning Coach supports the women’s basketball program by designing and implementing strength & conditioning protocols to include nutrition, rehabilitation, and injury prevention, and serves as a staff member of the program.

     

    The position requires frequent travel, as well as evening and weekend hours.

    Essential Functions:

    Designs, implements, and evaluates sport-specific strength, speed, and conditioning programs for the Women’s Basketball team.

     

    Utilizes advanced sports performance technology to monitor athlete recovery and optimize training.

     

    Collects and enters performance and nutrition data; analyzes trends to support athlete development.

     

    Develops individualized strength and nutrition plans based on athlete needs and behavioral habits.

     

    Instructs student-athletes in proper training techniques and promotes injury prevention strategies.

     

    Collaborates with the Head Coach, athletic training staff, and Strength & Conditioning team regarding injuries, recovery, and performance.

     

    Assists with injury rehabilitation and supports the athletic training staff as needed.

     

    Ensures safe, supervised use of strength & conditioning facilities at all times.

     

    Contributes to recruiting efforts by supporting visits and preparing educational content.

     

    Maintains compliance with NCAA , Atlantic 10, and University policies; travels with the team as needed.

    Required Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Health/Physical Education or a related field and a minimum of 3 years’ experience required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    National Strength and Conditioning Association ( NSCA ) certification, or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach ( CSCC ) certification.

     

    CPR and First Aid certification.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    Experience working in athletics in a collegiate environment.

     

    Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations.

     

    Minimum Salary: $70,000

     

    Maximum Salary: $80,000
