    Job Description

    *ONLY OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME ANNUALLY PAID PARKS EMPLOYEES*

     

    The Citywide Services Division works in direct partnership with Parks leadership, and other City Agencies, to operate, assess, design and reconstruct facility infrastructure. Citywide Services strives for operational excellence to support the City’s performance and sustainability goals. The Program Manager will be responsible for supporting the planning, administration, measurement and verification for the Division Units as required. This will directly improve neighborhood growth, public health and fun communities throughout the five boroughs of New York City.

    Major Responsibilities

    - Under general direction of the Chief of Operations, with latitude for independent judgment and initiative, performs responsible and complex work towards the administration of a portfolio of projects and initiatives for the Citywide Services Operations division.

     

    - Prepare briefing memoranda, project schedules, budget proposals, grant applications, correspondence, reports and related documents.

     

    - Prepare reports, strategic planning documents, and presentations to support communication with Division and Agency leadership.

     

    - Review and analyzes data from various sources.

     

    - Oversee the development of analytical tools, evaluate data and maintain records to support Division operations.

     

    - Coordinate with other Parks Divisions and guides projects through necessary procedures.

     

    - Perform strategic analysis, risk assessment, and provides guidance to senior staff in support of Division decisions and citywide development initiatives.

     

    - Support the development of new funding requests as identified by Division leadership.

     

    - Serve as a liaison with City agencies such as the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS), DCAS Energy Management (DEM), and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP), as well as with third-party organizations that provide programs and services through Parks and other city agencies.

     

    - Participate in additional projects, meetings and priorities as determined by the Chief of Operations.

    Qualifications

    1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or

    2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or

    3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.

    Salary Min: $ 62,868.00

     

    Salary Max: $ 97,593.00
