Job Description

Metaverse Technical Art team is looking for a technical artist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a technical artist, you will help build a social User Generated Content (UGC) platform where people can find people, places, and things they care about.

Responsibilities:

- Profiling, Optimizing and troubleshooting runtime performance (CPU/GPU/Memory) on multiple platforms

- Create clear reports on profiling findings

- Prototype, profile and optimize custom shaders

- Optimize content through identifying bottlenecks and instructing the artists and designers on asset creation best practices.

- Develop broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety of technical and artistic tasks, including diagnosing and fixing bugs.

- Create processes, tooling to validate, prototype, and implement new capabilities in partnership with cross functional teams.

- Quickly solve issues with cross-functional leads.

Skills and Requirements

- Demonstrated expertise at understanding inner workings of a real-time game engine (Unity, Unreal, etc)

- Experience training AI models or utilizing AI for content generation

- 3-5 years experience with game/real-time profiling and optimization techniques.

- 3-5 years' experience coding in Typescript, JavaScript, and/or C+ - Experience with real-time scripting

- Experience shipping products with stringent runtime performance constraints, such as complex mobile or 3D applications or games

- Experience communicating/collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including engineers and artists

- Experience in real-time content authoring (characters/environments/VFX/animation/lighting)

- Experience working with version control systems (Git, Perforce, etc.) - Deep knowledge of low level real-time graphics pipeline concepts.

- Passionate and informed on emerging technologies.
