GENERAL DESCRIPTION
+ The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across multiple settings, including the BCHC hospital inpatient units, skilled nursing facilities in Buchanan and Fayette counties, BCHC outpatient memory clinics, and palliative care environments. This hybrid role is ideal for an advanced practice provider with a strong foundation in acute care and a passion for geriatric medicine.
EDUCATION & TRAINING REQUIREMENTS
+ + Master of Science degree from a NLN accredited graduate program required.
+ Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Adult Nurse Practitioner, or Geriatric Nurse Practitioner.
+ Licensed to practice in State of Iowa in the expanded role.
+ Mandatory Reporter of Dependent Adult & Child Abuse Certificate
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
+ + Minimum of two or more years of experience in an expanded clinical role, with training encompassing basic disease prevention, care coordination, health promotion, and comprehensive knowledge of acute conditions, diagnostics, and treatments.
+ Specialized experience in areas such as cardiology, dermatology, oncology, pain management, surgical services, orthopedics, women’s health, palliative care, geriatric medicine, or family medicine is preferred.
