A private, multi-generational family office based in San Francisco is seeking an Associate to join its Client Services Accounting team. The organization provides a comprehensive suite of services including investment management, financial reporting, tax planning, and philanthropic support. The Associate will play a key role in supporting the financial and accounting needs of high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and entities. This position ensures timely and accurate processing of transactions, financial reporting, and client communications. The role also involves close collaboration with internal departments to deliver integrated client service.

Key Responsibilities

Client Operations Support

+ Prepare journal entries, cash forecasts, and quarterly financial statements

+ Perform accounts payable functions and monitor client liquidity

+ Reconcile bank, brokerage, credit card, and other balance sheet accounts

+ Review investment valuations and other financial data for reporting

Partnership and Communication

+ Interface with clients, estate managers, and vendors for payment and reporting needs

+ Collaborate with internal teams to manage accounting for real property, investments, and asset transfers

+ Partner with finance, tax, and client service teams on reporting initiatives

Requirements

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field (CPA or Master’s preferred)

+ Experience in accounting operations, especially with real property, trusts, and LLCs

+ Proficiency in accounting systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Bill.com)

+ Strong Excel skills and project management capabilities

+ Excellent communication, attention to detail, and discretion

+ Ability to manage multiple priorities and solve complex problems independently
