    Description

    Lisa Cole with Robert Half is looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our client near the Woodland area. This role is vital in maintaining organized accounts receivable and accounts payable records, supporting some administrative tasks, and contributing to the smooth operation of the accounting department.     Responsibilities:

    • Organize and maintain filing systems for financial documents, such as invoices, receipts, and statements.

    • Provide administrative support to the accounting team, including handling mail, managing office supplies, and responding to inquiries.

    • Accurately input financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring proper categorization and coding.

    • Assist with reconciling bank statements, credit card transactions, and accounts payable/receivable, addressing discrepancies promptly.

    • Support processing of payments and invoices, ensuring timely and accurate recording of transactions.

    • Help prepare tax returns and regulatory filings by gathering necessary financial data and documentation.

    • Contribute to the improvement of accounting processes by identifying inefficiencies and suggesting effective solutions.

    • Collaborate with team members to ensure monthly reconciliation of general ledger accounts.

    • Assist in tracking overdue accounts and communicating with clients to resolve outstanding payments.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in an accounts payable and/or accounts receivable position

    • Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

    • Strong data entry skills with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

    • Familiarity with invoice processing and financial documentation.
