Description

We are looking for an experienced HR/Payroll Specialist to join our team in Newport News, Virginia. In this Contract-to-permanent role, you will play a key part in managing payroll operations and supporting various HR functions to ensure smooth organizational processes. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to a dynamic environment within the semi-conductor and electric component manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.

• Administer employee benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and resolving inquiries.

• Handle employee relations matters, offering guidance to managers and employees while addressing concerns effectively.

• Oversee the onboarding process for new team members, ensuring a seamless transition and positive experience.

• Manage HR data and employee records within the HRIS system, maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

• Ensure compliance with labor laws, regulations, and organizational policies.

• Support corporate recruiting efforts by posting job openings, screening resumes, and conducting interviews.

• Collaborate with various teams to foster a positive and productive work environment.

• Assist with additional HR-related tasks and projects as needed.

Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in payroll processing and HR functions.

• Proficiency in full-cycle payroll management, including experience with ADP Workforce Now.

• Strong understanding of employee relations and benefits administration.

• Familiarity with HRIS systems and maintaining accurate HR data.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.

• Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and maintain organization.

• Proven ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.

• Positive attitude and commitment to contributing to a constructive workplace environment.
