    Description

    Lisa Cole with Robert Half is looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join a growing company based near the Woodland, CA area. In this role, you will play a key part in managing our company’s payment processes, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time, and maintaining strong relationships with vendors and service providers.     Responsibilities:

    • Review and verify vendor invoices to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies.

    • Accurately code invoices to the appropriate accounts, cost centers, and departments.

    • Enter invoice details into accounting software, including payment terms, due dates, and amounts.

    • Prepare and process payments through checks, electronic transfers, or wire payments, ensuring timely transactions.

    • Reconcile vendor statements with internal records to address discrepancies and maintain accurate balances.

    • Communicate with vendors to resolve payment issues, discrepancies, and inquiries effectively.

    • Maintain organized and accessible records of accounts payable transactions for audits and future reference.

    • Assist in month-end and year-end reconciliations to support financial reporting.

    • Monitor accounts payable aging reports to manage cash flow and avoid late payment penalties.

    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve accounts payable processes for enhanced efficiency.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    • 2+ years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or a similar financial role.

    • Proficiency in an ERP accounting software.

    • Strong knowledge of accounts payable processes, including coding invoices and check runs.

    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to handle multiple tasks effectively.

    • Ability to reconcile accounts and identify discrepancies with precision.

    • Strong communication skills to interact professionally with vendors and internal teams.

    • Familiarity with financial compliance standards and company policies.
