Armed Security Guard – Evening Shifts (Wichita, KS)

$17.00 per hour** | **Part-time

We’re looking for a professional **Armed Security Guard** to join our team in **Wichita, KS** . This role offers consistent evening shifts and requires experience and reliability.

+ **Location:** Wichita, KS

+ **Pay Rate:** **$17.00 per hour**

+ **Schedule:** **Friday–Monday 4 PM–10 PM**

+ **Requirements:** Must have **at least 3 years of experience** as an armed guard, or be a **military veteran** or **former law enforcement officer**

RESPONSIBILITIES:

+ Provide high quality security services, safeguarding personnel, property, and information

+ Conduct patrols within and around the facility on foot, bicycle, or vehicle to ensure the protection of people, assets, and sensitive or classified information

+ Preserve order and enforces rules, regulations, and directives for the viability of the site

+ Maintains proficiency in the use of all assigned protective equipment, restraint devices and weapons.

+ Greet guests and employees, assisting where appropriate; escort visitors and contractors, secure ingress and egress points, secure classified information

+ Follow site-specific performance manuals and post orders, reporting safety concerns, security breaches, and unusual circumstances via written and verbal communication; interact with client and/or other security personnel regarding order execution when appropriate

+ Respond to and assesses security alarms or emergency alarms; act as a first responder in emergency situations and provide first aid as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS (MUST HAVE):

+ High school diploma or equivalent, or 5 years of verifiable experience

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment

+ Minimum of three (3) years of law enforcement, military, or private armed security experience

+ Minimum of 21 years of age (or higher if required by the state)

+ Excellent communication skills; able to articulate and write clear and concise incident or situation reports

+ Able to complete all range qualifications and functions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (NICE TO HAVE):

+ Associate's degree or higher In Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field
